there no sound coming from motherboard

Memory upgrade causes freeze up

MSI GF615M-P33

After upgrading from 1 gig memory to 2 gig memory (both sticks are ddr33-1333 128x8) the system freezes up after booting to the desktop. I can boot up under safe mode and it works fine. With either of the sticks in by themselves, it works fine, just not with both installed. This is running XP Home 32 bit SP@. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
