my pro 2000 is not running my program correctly is it busted the time is right is there a reset button

My husband installed our new RTH230B thermostat over the summer. When we turned on the heat a few days ago, the furnace just keeps calling for heat and the runs constantly. Our heating is hot water/baseboard. There is no fan or air conditioning. Did we purchase the wrong thermostat?
