when i put power 220 the motherboard dont work any thing

just installed new mobo i mean i put it in the PC connected all relevant connector then went to turn it all on i get no signal on my monitor i have tried both a VGA cable on the on board gpu and also the dvi on my gtx 240 nvidia gpu card
