The dishwasher will run about half way thru the cycle and then stops with the rapid wash and pots plus wash led lights flashing

machine self tests,then rinsing cycle starts and does not stop. I have turned it off for a few minutes and even unplugged it for a few minutes but it continues to stay in the rinsing cycle.
