Acer Aspire 5251 Support

When browsing I will sometimes be vaulted backwards to previous pages. I don\'t know if it a problem with the touch pad being sensitive or sticking?? I am not aware of even touching it sometimes. Not real thrilled with this machine.

I just bought a 5251-1805 Aspire from Acer, and have already encountered the following problems: 1. if i click on an icon on the desktop it selects all icons on the desktop. If I click on a file in a folder or library, it highlights ALL files in the Library. I\'ve been getting around this (grudgingly) via right clicking on the desired icon/file to only onen the one I want. 2. When I need to type ANYTHING, be it in a search menu, notepad, word, or other, I am confronted with a few problems. Shift key (either one) won\'t work. I either choose between CAPS lock or not CAPS lock. Also, occassionally, the \"filter keys\" menu thing pops up as if I had held down the shift key when in fact I had not. 3. I can not open ANY topics in the help program, through either right clicking/selecting open OR normal clicking. *Problems with clicking/selecting thing remain as a constant with both touchpad clicking and/or button clicking. This was a brand new computer straight out of the box. Please offer any help/advice/solutions. I am not very computer savvy and don\'t want this to ruin my laptop purchasing experience.

I hit the number lock. It is so stupid I didn\'t see this after trying everything. How simple & it was in front of my face all along

I press the numbers in on number pad to right side of lap top & get nothing .Have to go to number pad at top of key board. It did work what should I do to correct this for I would rather use right side for numbers?

I just plugged in a USB mouse to get the comp to cooporate but the synaptic has COMPLETELY quit working. Even the left and right clicks. Please help me out...also the \"e\" key keeps messing up.

When I play programs or games they won't run in full screen even when the full screen option is selected for that program or game. Full screen top to bottom but large dark boarders on each side. When I play movies that are not widescreen I get the same results. The widescreen movies still have a boarder top and bottom. I would think if a computor screen is widescreen then a widescreen movie or whatever should run in full screen without the boarders. So how do I get these to run in full screen? Thank you!
